Ileana D'Cruz is an Indian film actress, who predominantly appears in Telugu cinema. She started her career as a model and then debuted in the Telugu film Devadasu in 2006 directed by Y.V.S.Chowdhary who spotted her in a Fair and Lovely ad film directed by Rakesh Roshan. She went on to appear in commercially successful ventures Pokiri (2006), Jalsa (2008) and Kick (2009), establishing herself as one of Telugu cinema's leading actresses. D'Cruz then made her Tamil film debut alongside Ravi Krishna in Kedi and made a comeback in Shankar's Nanban (2012). In 2012, she made her debut in Bollywood with Barfi opposite Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.

Ileana was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra on 1 November,1987 as the second child to her parents Ronaldo and Samira. She has three siblings - older sister Farrah, younger brother Rhys and youngest sister Eileen. She started her career as a model and did many photoshoots and fashion shows. She debuted in the Telugu film Devadasu in 2006. Her breakthrough came from her second Telgu film Pokiri (2006). In 2012, she made her debut in Bollywood with Barfi opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Currently, she was seen in the movie Phata Poster Nikla Hero opposite Shahid Kapoor.

Career
Ileana D'Cruz started modelling with Marc Robinson. And her first portfolio was created in January 2003. She began gaining notice through photo shoots and ramp walks and her second portfolio was set up the following year, which landed her three advertisements from Electrolux, Emami Talc and Fair and Lovely. She debuted in the Telugu language film Devadasu in 2006 directed by Y.V.S. Chowdhary who spotted her in a Fair and Lovely ad film directed by Rakesh Roshan. D'Cruz then made her Tamil film debut alongside Ravi Krishna in Kedi. D'Cruz's career took a turn for the better with the release of her well-received 2007 film Aata, opposite Siddharth. She would make her Hindi debut with the Anurag Basu directorial Barfi!, as the role of a narrator starring alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.
Personal Life
Ileana was born to a Catholic father, Ronaldo Leo who is a Lawyer and a Muslim mother, Samira. While growing up, she lived in Goa for about seven years. Her first name comes from Greek mythology, meaning Helen of Troy. Ileana is very much close to her mother and is always encouraged at every moment right from the starting of her career.
